Colonel Harvey C. Barnum Jr. USMC (ret.) MOH
On July 28th, 2021 Because of the Brave hosted a small get-together with Col. Barnum as he returned to his hometown. This was also a celebration for Col. Barnum as he was being inducted into the Connecticut Veteran’s Hall of Fame. Several Veterans, including some from Vietnam along with members of the Cheshire Police Department & Cheshire Police Explorers. Col. Barnum provided the Explorers with words of wisdom and life’s lessons motivating them to do more and be more, talking about their future and how much of an impact they can make on the world.

Mission BBQ
We cannot thank Mission BBQ out of Southington, CT enough for their contribution to this event. Caitlyn is there Community Advisor at 23 years old and she brought along two 17-year-old high school students. The one thing besides thank you we have to say about these girls is THEY GET IT!
